We’ve compiled a list of some of the best games released in March 2018 that you might have missed, including The Council, Surviving Mars, and more.
It can be tough to keep up with the ridiculous number of video games that are released each month. Just on PC alone, some twenty to thirty some odd games are released on Steam on a daily basis. Not to mention all of the games coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. As one might expect, a lot of these games aren’t all that great. It can be a real chore to sort through all of these new game releases, but no one wants to miss out on those hidden gems like The Council that may have flown under your radar either.
Don’t worry, wonderful reader, we’ve done all the hard work for you! We’ve compiled a list of some of the best titles that came out this past month. We’ve waded through the best and the worst to find our top thirteen games that are worth taking a look at. From adventures through space to medical simulators to battle royale showdowns, this list has a little something for everyone!

Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Developer: Fatshark
Publisher: Fatshark
Platforms: PC
Release Date: March 8, 2018
Why sit around waiting for a new Left for Dead game that will probably never come to fruition when you can play Warhammer: Vermintide 2? If you enjoy fast-paced, visceral co-op monster slaying, then look no further. This first-person hack-and-slash game is dark, bloody, hard-hitting, and most of all, a damn good time. There is just something about coming home from a long days work and relieving some stress by conquering hordes after hordes of Chaos and Skaven fodder.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 ramps up in difficulty pretty quickly too. Prepare for neverending waves and challenging bosses across a plethora of different levels and difficulty settings. The game offers a bunch of different gameplay customization options as well. There are five different personable heroes to choose from, each with very different playstyles and three talent trees to further your gameplay customization. My favorite part of the Warhammer high fantasy universe is how it mixes your typical medieval style axes and crossbows with technological weapons like flamethrowers and miniguns. There are plenty of ways to kill hordes of rats in Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and they are all a blast.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is currently only available on PC but is expected to come to PS4 and Xbox One later this year.
Pit People
Developer: The Behemoth
Publisher: The Behemoth
Platforms: PC, Xbox One
Release Date: March 2, 2018
Pit People originally released in Early Access back in early 2017, but Behemoth’s latest wacky adventure has officially released. Similar to
BattleBlock Theater and
Castle Crashers,
Pit People is filled to the brim with cheesy comedy and a zany, cartoony art style. Want to fight against robots and vampires in a toilet?
Pit People went there. It’s a wacky, meme-filled game that is hilarious fun both alone, cooperatively, or in the game’s arena PvP battle mode onlin
in 2018
While the comedy of the game is a definite draw, Pit People has a solid backbone in its turn-based tactical gameplay. The mechanics really focus on strategic character positioning, and while not anything mechanically groundbreaking, the game does a great job balancing difficulty with easy to understand mechanics. Compared to other games in the genre, it’s relatively simple, but it adds just enough combat puzzles to keep things interesting. Just in case cupcake people and space bears weren’t enough to keep you entertained.
